As environmentally conscious members of the community and as participants in The Petoskey Chamber of Commerce – Thriving Petoskey Initiative, The Back Lot is committed to minimizing their environmental impact. Along with the Emmet County Recycling’s Compost Program, The Back Lot will be using compostable paper products and straws, as well as collecting food waste. During construction of the lot, a 1,500-gallon cistern was installed to collect rain water that will be used to water the plant life throughout the property.
